AL Platform is an Add-In framework for rapid development of flexible solutions with a complex user interface. AL Platform introduces the concept of Abstract Desktop, and defines a new development methodology - Tool-Oriented Approach. A tool is an independent software module - Add-In - which can be hosted inside other applications. The idea of abstract desktop allows these tools to utilize the application's workspace and menu without recompiling the tool itself, and without recompiling the application. AL Platform is not an external program one should use in order to manage applications. AL Platform is a component library which ships as a set of .NET assemblies. Route Tracker is a complex system that analyzes data coming from GPS receiver and sensors. It is split into client and server software. The client is installed on a smart device Mircom200 (Windows CE 6.0, CF .NET 2.0). It logs GPS data coming from a satellite and different sensors connected to Mircom200. The server is a standalone desktop application (Windows Forms .NET 2.0) which serves as off-line analyzer of these data. Different types of charts and grids are shown, these include: route, speed, signals from sensors, 3D charts which illustrate the speed in a particular coordinates. Vector maps are supported. To transfer data from the client to the server Bluetooth connection is used.
